A bit of history

With a lifelong passion for hockey, Bob and Chris transformed their enthusiam for the sport into a thriving enterprise.

Their journey began on the pitch, where they forged enduring friendships within the community. It was through these bonds, and their commitment to promoting a prominent hockey brand at various festivals and tournaments, that an idea found roots.

Encouraged by their peers, Bob and Chris envisioned a place where their love for the game could intersect with their professional aspirations. Thus, in 1993, The Stick Club was brought to life, blossoming into a haven for the 'hockey family', where the spirit of hockey is celebrated every day.

Evolution of the shop

In 2018 we invested & expanded. A 6 month building project saw us turn a dark
and dingy old car mechanics garage into a bight welcoming space we call The
Hockey Hub. The most exciting part is the mini pitch where all customers can try
out any of our sticks to get a feel for the right one.
This also gave us the opportunity to extend the shop floor making your shopping
experience even better than before. More space to try on shoes and a designated
Goal Keepers area.
The Studio is fitted our with top of the range embroidery & printing equipment
including a new addition in 2024 – the DTF Printer (Direct to Film)
